Specialty Camps

Ecostem  ($295 5-day camp week)

Join us for an OUTDOOR learning adventure. Explore the vast UVic landscape from forests to watersheds. We will use a STEM lense to learn about the natural world surrounding us. The EoSTEM camp will take place outdoors and will involve a lot of physical activity, rain or shine.

This program is divided into groups based on the grade your child is entering in the Fall:

  • GRADE 3-5

CSI: UVic  ($295 5-day camp week | $236 4-Day Camp Week - Jul. 2-5; Aug. 6-9)

CSI: UVIC, where budding investigators and young scientists step into the shoes of crime scene investigators, learning the techniques and tools used to gather evidence, analyze clues, and crack the case. With university laboratories and resources at their fingertips, students immerse themselves in the world of forensic science and develop critical thinking skills as they work to solve mysteries and unravel the truth. Whether your camper dreams of becoming a detective, forensic scientist, or simply enjoys solving puzzles and mysteries, CSI: UVIC offers a thrilling and educational summer camp experience.

  • Grades 4-6

steammakers  ($295 5-day camp week)

Remember Ph.D’s (STEM-U Grade 7-8) and Engineering Design Studio (Maker Grade 7-8)? Well, we are brining them together.

Take your maker experience to the next level with our Engineering Design Studio (E.D.S.) experience. Join the E.D.S. team for a project-base approach to engineering exploring the disciplines of civil, biomedical, electrical and mechanical engineering. Led by UVic Engineering students, go behind the scenes to explore life as an engineering student.

+ Cancellation Policy

Science Venture operates as a non-profit organization and incurs substantial fees for each cancellation. The later the cancellation, the harder it is for us to fill the spot with somebody on the waitlist. To offset these costs, our cancellation and transfer policy is as follows:

  • ** More than 7 business days before the program’s start date:
    100% refund of program price, minus a $50 cancellation fee.
  • ** 7 business days or less before the program’s start date:
    50% refund of program price.
  • ** After 9am the Friday before the program’s start date:
    No refund provided.
