Daytime Learning Club
This year, we are excited to pilot a new model for our Daytime Learning Club, designed to offer homeschool families greater flexibility, choice, and opportunities to learn in ways that work best for individual learning journeys.
The Daytime Learning Club will combine two modes of learning:
Workshops
Explore the diverse world of STEM through Science Venture’s highly regarded, hands-on, minds-on workshops! From 3D printing to microbiology, our experienced staff will guide you through fun hands-on minds-on learning grounded in the BC curriculum.
Family-based Registration: Sign up just your child or participate alongside them as a family!
Flexible Scheduling: Daytime Learning members can sign up for any workshop slots that work for them. Workshops are offered twice weekly, so come to the session that works for you!
Customize Your Learning: Our skill-building workshops are modular, so you can sign up for only the sessions you’re interested in and jump back in whenever you want! Workshop topics will be announced in advance so you can plan your experience accordingly!
Multi-age: Workshops are designed to accommodate a wide range of ages simultaneously, so all members of a family can attend together!
Makerspace Access
New this year, we’re offering club members self-directed, instructor-supported access to Science Venture’s Makerspace and massive library of STEM education tools!
Flexible Access: Sign-up for any number of our semi-weekly “Open Makerspace” blocks based on your learner(s)’ needs!
Take Your Learning Further: Follow-up on workshop content by diving deeper it the theme of the week; work on your own projects and ideas with access to a wider scope of resources than you might have at home; or review something you’ve learned before with support from a Science Venture instructor.
Enhance Home Lessons: Develop and deliver your own home-learning lessons using university-level resources.
Resource & Equipment Library: Receive training and access to some of Science Venture’s most exciting STEM learning tools, such as:
Building & tinkering tools (3D printers, drills, soldering, circuits)
Scientific supplies (flasks, beakers, lab safety equipment)
Crafting and visual art supplies
And more!
Parent-supported: This experience is designed to support home learners alongside their parents and educators. Youth must be supervised by a parent/guardian during Open Makerspace sessions.
Cost
Families will pay a $200 program membership per household for the entire term (Fall 2026), which provides access to the Daytime Learning Club. Once subscribed, families can then sign up for sessions that align with their learning goals at their leisure. A single payment grants access to the full program for the whole family!
Spaces in individual sessions are filled on a first come first serve basis.
Refunds
Science Venture operates as a non-profit organization and incurs substantial fees for each cancellation. To offset these costs, refunds will not be issued to households that have attended two or more sessions. Please note that partial refunds or prorated rates for this program are not available.
