Presented by Science Venture in collaboration with UVic’s Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science, and ONWIE (Ontario Network of Women in Engineering), Go ENG Girl is a national event held by Universities across Canada, designed to introduce high school girls, non-binary, and gender-diverse youth to the world of engineering,
This year, along the theme of ‘Designing for Accessibility’ participants will experience hands-on, barrier-free activities that highlight how engineers design accessible solutions for real people. The day will feature an inspiring keynote speaker, an interactive engineering expo with clubs, industry, and community organizations, and a main design challenge where students will ‘hack’ existing toys for children with accessibility needs. Go ENG Girl is about exploration, creativity, and imagining a future where engineering is for everybody and every body.
All experience levels welcome!
